1. Objective.
Our “living wage” policy is aligned with the principles of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and, in particular, with the United Nations Global Compact.
2. Scope of Application.
This policy applies to all members of the Group.
3. The Concept of a Living Wage.
According to the Global Compact, a living wage refers not only to the minimum wage but must also guarantee a dignified life; therefore, it must be above the poverty line and adjusted to local living costs. Furthermore, the importance of economic equity is recognized, promoting inclusive and sustainable development.
4. Basic Principles of Action.
The principles that will govern this policy are:
• Respect for fundamental labor rights.
• The right to receive fair compensation for work performed.
• Provision for basic needs in accordance with the United Nations Global Compact’s definition of a living wage.
• The principle of non-discrimination.
• Fair and safe working conditions.
